Meet the founder

Who is Lokesh Kapoor?

Hi, I’m Lokesh. I’m a WordPress developer, YouTuber and SaaS reviewer from Kanpur, India. I started the tech blog DroidCrunch in 2016, began building WordPress sites around the same time, and launched StyleMyWP in 2021.

Today I build and speed up WordPress sites for clients, review the software I use, and record tutorials on Elementor, Canva and video editing. StyleMyWP is where my team and I write down what’s worth your money, and what isn’t.

“I believe great websites are built at the intersection of speed, clarity, and trust.”

Our standards

How we review WordPress tools

A lot of “best plugin” lists quote the launch discount and stop there. Here are the four rules we hold our guides to.

The renewal price, every time

Plenty of plugins sell year one at a steep discount. We quote what you’ll pay in year two as well, so the second invoice isn’t a surprise.

Prices checked at the source

We take prices from each vendor’s own pricing page and note when we checked them. Vendors change prices often, so the date matters.

We say how we know

This site runs on Blocksy, Elementor Pro, Rank Math and LiteSpeed Cache. When we haven’t used a tool ourselves, we say so instead of faking a test.

Who should skip it

Every pick comes with the case against it. If a free plugin does the job, we’ll tell you to keep your money.

We fix mistakes in the open. In 2023 a reader spotted that our LiveCanvas review listed a one-time $139 licence as a yearly price. We owned it in the comments within two hours and corrected the review.

Who runs StyleMyWP?

StyleMyWP was started in August 2021 by Lokesh Kapoor, a WordPress developer and YouTuber from Kanpur, India, who also runs the tech blog DroidCrunch. Today a small team writes for the site, and every article carries its writer’s real name. More about Lokesh is on lokeshkapoor.com.

How does StyleMyWP make money?

Through affiliate links. If you buy through some of our links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. It never changes which tool we recommend, and many of our picks pay us nothing at all, like the free LiteSpeed Cache plugin this site runs on.

How do you decide what to recommend?

We compare tools on what they cost after the first year, what the free version really includes, and who they suit. Each pick comes with a plain “skip it if” so you can rule it out fast.

How up to date are your prices?

We take prices from each vendor’s own pricing page and note when we checked them. In 2026 we re-checked every guide on the site. Prices still change, so confirm at checkout, and tell us if you spot one that has moved.

I found a mistake. What should I do?

Tell us through our contact page or leave a comment on the article. When a reader caught a wrong price in our LiveCanvas review, we owned it within two hours and corrected the review.

Can I suggest a tool or a topic?

Yes. Send it through our contact page and tell us what you’d use it for.

Can you help with my WordPress site?

Yes. Lokesh Kapoor, who runs StyleMyWP, takes on WordPress builds, speed fixes and SEO projects. Services and pricing are on lokeshkapoor.com.

Tired of the Slow Performance of Your Website?
WP Rocket is the paid cache plugin we suggest when your host doesn’t run LiteSpeed. Page caching, CSS and JS clean-up, lazy-loading and database tidy-ups all live on one settings screen.
Full disclosure: this site runs on a LiteSpeed server, so we use the free LiteSpeed Cache plugin. Read our WP Rocket review.
